The Yogin whose happiness is within, whose resting place is within, who experiences the light within – he realises himself to be the Spirit, attaining beatitude in Brahman.

(Bhagwad Gita)

Inspired by a garbhagriha or a sacred sanctum, the yoga temple is a sacred and secular space for yoga and meditation. As a devotee walks barefoot, a union between the mind and the body is nurtured through a magical interplay of light, colour and texture. Through fusion of traditional knowledge and contemporary technology, the temple celebrates universal values in sacred art and architecture. Traditional mangalore clay roof tiles and laterite stone craft have been reimagined to revitalize indigenous arts and inspire local artisans.
