silent rivers

Face as a silent message. Face as an evolving landscape. Face as silence beyond time.
Silent rivers was an unorthodox and daring inquiry into the lives of the residents of Brussels. The journey began as a curious urge to “know” the “silent” faces of a city. Transporting these fascinating and strange faces from the streets of Brussels into the studio and recording their responses was an intimate experience. As the journey unfolded, it captured the stories of its characters and developed into an evocative platform. Silent pauses in the stories were woven together and transformed into a meditative and evolving landscape. The project was supported through a residency at Nadine in Brussels. |
